Kevin Barnett, MD, FACS, General & Minimally Invasive Surgeon

Dr. Kevin Barnett decided in grade school that he wanted to become a doctor.

During high school, Dr. Barnett lived down the street from Dr. Jay Haines, who was Lincoln Surgical Associate's founding partner. In the summer, Dr. Haines would bring Dr. Barnett to the operating room and let him watch a few surgeries, which really had a positive impact on Dr. Barnett.

Once Dr. Barnett started his surgery clerkship, he realized that was where he needed to be. "The chance to be able to identify a problem, solve a problem, and make the patient better was what I was looking for," he said.

When he completed his medical studies, Dr. Barnett reconnected with Dr. Haines. After meeting the Lincoln Surgical Associates team, he decided to move back to Belleville and practice surgery here.
