Skin Protection

With sun exposure, use plenty of sunscreen and make sure it's reapplied several times throughout the day for protection. Trying to avoid sunburns is pretty important too. 

Skin Cancer Types and Treatments

We see different types of skin cancer including squamous cell, basal cell, and melanoma. Usually treatment requires some sort of local or wide excision. Sometimes patients who have melanomas may need a lymph node biopsy, and plastic surgeons may ask us to help out with that as well.
