Individualized Gallbladder Surgery Available in the Metro East

Lincoln Surgical Associates can meet your patients' cholecystectomy needs in both elective and emergent cases.

Our team performed 580 cholecystectomies last year using both laparoscopic and open surgical methods.

"The gallbladder does vary from patient to patient, how we take care of it," said D. Scott Crouch, MD, FACS, emergency and general surgeon with Lincoln Surgical Associates. "It matters why the gallbladder is a problem. Even though the exact same gallbladder in one patient may warrant it being removed, if the patient has multiple medical problems, they have prohibitive other medical diseases from being put to sleep, or maybe they're on blood thinners, they can't be dealt with immediately."

Our team works closely with our colleagues in radiology to look for non-surgical procedures to help your patients keep their gallbladders in emergency situations. In these cases, they can later discuss the pros and cons of keeping the gallbladder with the patient outside of the emergency room.
