Genetic Testing for Breast and Ovarian Cancer Available
When your patients are referred for evaluation of breast problems, Lincoln Surgical Associates can perform a lifetime risk assessment and can screen them for hereditary breast and ovarian syndrome.
Although most women do not fit criteria for genetic testing, women who test positive and those with significantly elevated risk can be offered formal genetics counseling, more intensive screening, as well as risk-reducing medication and surgery.
