Breast Surgery
The surgical specialists at Lincoln Surgical provide state-of-the-art treatment and diagnosis of benign and malignant breast disease.
Lincoln Surgical provides answers when it comes to your breast health questions.
Because breast cancer is such a intimate issue, our team wants to get to know you as both a patient and a person. That's why Lincoln Surgical performs the initial diagnostic breast biopsies; if your diagnosis shows cancer, you are immediately able to discuss it with a surgeon whom you have already met and become familiar with. Lincoln Surgical provides a biopsy when your mammogram or ultrasound shows an abnormality. Biopsy procedures are usually performed with a minimally invasive technique. These are outpatient procedures done under a local anesthetic. Our hope is that we can help ease this very stressful time.
We performed
450Our goal is to provide each patient with the most efficient and beneficial treatments available, so we work closely with radiologists from The Breast Health Center at Memorial Hospital and the Women's Center at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, in addition to radiation oncologists and medical oncologists.
I believe Lincoln Surgical offers the same surgical knowledge and expertise that patients would receive in St. Louis—right here in our own community.—Dr. Clanahan
If you have any questions about breast surgery or would like to learn more about your treatment options, then please give us a call to schedule an appointment. We understand you may be anxious and concerned, and we want to do everything we can to help make this a comfortable experience.
Types of Breast Procedures
We offer a number of breast surgery procedures for both diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
Lincoln Surgical will perform an ultrasound-guided, stereotactic, or excisional breast biopsy depending on the size and location of the suspicious area.
Because no two breast cancer cases are the same, Lincoln Surgical's surgeons don't take a one-size-fits-all treatment approach.
Lincoln Surgical works with Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon William Y. Zhu, MD, of Washington University, to provide comprehensive breast cancer care to patients in the Metro East.
