Compressed oxygen cylinders come in a variety of sizes to meet specific needs. Smaller cylinders are quite portable and can be carried with a shoulder strap, on a wheelchair or on a walker. Larger cylinders can be carried on a wheelchair or on a cart, or can be used as stationary unit. | |

Oxygen Concentrators take oxygen out of the room's air to deliver a flow of air with a higher oxygen content than standard room air. New systems are being introduced which combine a compressor with a patient's oxygen concentrator to fill small compressed oxygen tanks in the home or office. This gives ambulatory patients independence and freedom while eliminating service calls to fill oxygen tanks. | |

Nebulizers deliver medications directly to the lungs. The type of nebulizer appropriate for a particular patient and medication will be prescribed by the physician.
