 Sore Nipple Solution by Medela
Many new mothers find that their nipples are tender for the first few days after the baby starts nursing. Medela's Sore Nipples Solutions kit can help mothers overcome the initial discomfort. A fact sheet provides useful information to ease the discomfort of breastfeeding, such as feeding positions and caring for sore nipples. A set of breast shells is provided to be worn underneath the bra to protect tender skin from the friction caused by clothing. Disposable bra pads contour to fit inside the bra to help keep nipples comfortably dry. Finally, a jar of our soothing Purelan 100 is included. This 100 percent lanolin creates a moisture barrier on the skin, soothing tender nipples.

 Inverted Nipple Solutions by Medela
When a mother's nipples are flat or inverted, the baby cannot latch-on to breastfeed. Medela's Inverted Nipple Solutions kit contains products to help overcome this problem. This helpful package includes a set of breast shells that are to be worn underneath the bra, fitting closely around the nipple. Ideally, this treatment should begin during the last few weeks of pregnancy. The shells are worn each day, gradually increasing lengths of time. Applying constant gentle pressure helps draw the nipple out. If the flat or inverted nipple condition is not detected during pregnancy, the breast shells can be worn after the baby is born, between feeding sessions and during waking hours. A nipple shield is also included for temporary use, to help the baby latch-on to the breast.
